The DIY Probate portal (the “Portal”) is provided by Online Wills and Probate. All content, templates, guidance, and tools are provided for general information purposes only and are intended to assist users in understanding and completing probate matters in England and Wales.

The Portal does not provide personalised legal, financial, or accounting advice. Users are responsible for assessing the suitability of any guidance for their own circumstances.

The information provided in the Portal is intended as general guidance only and may not cover all circumstances that arise during the administration of an estate. Users remain responsible for ensuring that all legal requirements are met and should seek independent professional advice where necessary.

2. No Solicitor–Client Relationship

Use of the Portal does not create a solicitor–client, adviser–client, or fiduciary relationship between you and Online Wills and Probate, its employees, or partner firms.

3. Limitation of Liability

The Portal does not guarantee any specific results, outcomes, or timelines. Online Wills and Probate makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the suitability, completeness, or effectiveness of any templates, guidance, or tools provided.

While Online Wills and Probate takes reasonable care to ensure accuracy, laws, regulations, and probate procedures may change.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Online Wills and Probate, its employees, and partner firms disclaim all liability for any loss, damage, costs, or inconvenience arising directly or indirectly from:

  • Use or reliance on the Portal, its content, templates, or tools
  • Any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the Portal
  • Any actions or decisions taken by users in reliance on the Portal

By using the Portal, users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Online Wills and Probate, its employees, and partner firms from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from their use of the Portal, including any actions or omissions in reliance on the guidance, templates, or tools provided.

4. No Refunds

All payments for access to the Portal are strictly non-refundable. By purchasing access, you acknowledge and accept that no refunds will be provided under any circumstances, including but not limited to dissatisfaction, change of mind, or inability to complete probate tasks.

5. Security and Access

The Portal is hosted on a secure platform.
Lifetime access is granted for personal use only.
Sharing accounts, templates, or login details is prohibited and may result in termination of access.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, templates, designs, and tools on the Portal are the intellectual property of Online Wills and Probate. No part of the Portal may be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without express written permission.

7. Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and all disputes arising from use of the Portal will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

8. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing or using the Portal, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept these Terms, Disclaimers, and the No-Refunds policy, and agree to be bound by them. Please also take a look at our privacy policy for more information about how we use your data. 

9. Changes to Portal / Terms

Online Wills and Probate reserves the right to update or modify the Portal, its content, templates, or these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Portal constitutes acceptance of any such changes.
